Reviewer Sites- check out the type of stuff they review FIRST and make sure its your genre. Then check out the contact info and find out what form of book they want. If they prefer paperbacks and you dont have one, that could change things, so do your homework!

http://thenewpodlerreviews.blogspot.com/ -this site seems pretty swamped and may be closed to reviews but they had alot of other blogs bookmarked on their page that looked worth checking out too.

http://thescattering.wordpress.com - I think I heard somewhere that this site only reviews Sf and Fantasy. Check it out first.
The links below are sites that FEATURE your book. This is different than a review because they aren't offering to read it, just post a picture and synopsis, which to me is just as good, if not better, because you dont have to wait for them to read it and get back to you. You can get it posted quicker and if they have alot' of followers/hits on their sites, its still high volume exposure.

Thanks Heather for putting this together. I'm hoping to publish my book by the end of the month. I'll have to tweet this too.
ReplyDeleteObviously, you didn't fall from the (momma) tree.
Great work Heather! This must have taken a while for you to put together, so THANK YOU! There are a couple of blogs that I think would be perfect for when we are ready to publish our YA books, but I am not sure if they review indies or are sticklers with Trad published books. I'll have to check that out. I think one would be open to it because she is just cool like that, but I will let you know.
ReplyDeleteAmy Rose Davis, http://modicumoftalent.com/ is doing a blog tour right now. She is super nice, and I bet if you asked her, she would give you an idea of where to go. Her book is fantasy though.
Also, are you going to be doing a book trailer? I definitely want to do one, but I am still a bit away from that yet.

Oh, one more thing. Kait Nolan, http://kaitnolan.com/
ReplyDeleteis doing a blog series about Promo for Indie Authors. I found the first post to be informative, and I am sure the rest will be as well. She is an extremely organized person so her tips are worthwhile.
Hi Heather,
ReplyDeleteI am also willing to review indie books. My site is The Literary Ravager.
I am picky, but can recognize a good story even if I don't particularly enjoy the subject matter. I don't have a large following, but I hope it will grow.
Sheila,
ReplyDeleteDefinitely feel free to share this list. That's what it's here for. And I'll pass along your observation to my momma. =)
Angeline,
Thanks for those. I will def put them on the list to look into. I did find Modicum of Talent's blog really good- noticed her as one of your bookmarks, actually. So I'll look into them and then maybe add them. The list i posted here isn't what I'm considering the final product, since I havent checked out the bottom half myself yet. And I want to, so i know its credible. If these are good too, i'll add them.
Medrick-
Already emailed ya. I don't care if your only follower is your mom, I'll still welcome the exposure! =) Then again, with a blog name like 'Ravager' you make me a little twitchy over getting reviewed by you. Ah well, I'm feeling brave today.
